United Methodist Committee on Relief (UMCOR), will offer training and team coordination to current and future volunteers from across the church’s Northeastern Jurisdiction (NEJ) on March 18-21 at West River Camp and Retreat Center, near Annapolis, Md. UMCOR personnel will help trainees learn and prepare together for the extraordinary mission adventure of responding to crises and disasters of all types by providing relief and recovery services while often touching the emotional and spiritual needs of survivors.

Whether you’re a pastor, church member or non-member, if you’ve never had disaster response training or only had a basic orientation, this NEJ UM Volunteers in Mission UMCOR Training Academy–the first one here in a decade–is ideal for you.
