Lord, when was it that we saw you hungry?…
Jesus explained to his disciples that when we do something for the least and the last, we are doing it for him. (Read Matthew 25:31-46)
We know that there are families in our community that are food insecure. We also know that they don’t just get hungry at Thanksgiving and at Christmas, when most of the food collections take place. So we are having a collection this month to support our local food pantry, Mattie Dixon Community Cupboard.

Calvary is collecting non-perishable food items for Mattie N. Dixon Community Cupboard to help our neighbors in need in Ambler and the surrounding area. Bright green shopping bags will be distributed by the members of the Calvary Community to their family, friends and neighbors to be filled on their next grocery shopping trip.

The filled bags can be left on the porch early, before 9 am,  on the 28 for pick up or they can be brought to the church between 11 am to 2 pm on the 28 of April or brought to the church before 12 N on Sunday April 29.

Most needed right now:

  • Jelly
  • canned fruit
  • Tuna
  • cereal
  • Kids snacks, juice boxes
  • Juice, coffee, tea
  • pancake mix, syrup
  • Ketchup, mustard, mayonaise
  • baby wipes
  • bar soap
